Prajna Desai is an art historian and writer of fiction. Her scholarship about visual politics, print culture, and built form develops at the intersection of history, literature, and science. Prajna holds a Masters from the University of Mumbai and a PhD from Yale University. Her writing has appeared across Artforum, Art in America, Frieze, Aperture, tcj.com, Art India, Guernica, and Caravan. She has taught at the University of Southern California (LA) and Stern College for Women (NY), held fellowships at Delfina Foundation (London) and MoMA (NY), and guest lectures on postwar transnational art histories at the School of Visual Arts (NY). She lives across languages and resides in Brooklyn. Bombay is home.
